We’ve been busy during this pandemic. When we built our 2020 plan back in Q4 2019, we had no idea what was in store in the coming year. While we had to throw most of our plan out the window, there were 2 critical parts that we knew would remain; celebrating our 20th anniversary and replacing the word “social” with “digital” in our name to rebrand as Vende Digital.
Welcome to Vende Digital – A New Name for A New Era
Our initial plan was to rebrand to Vende Digital during our birthday celebration this fall, but while we were rebuilding our 2020 plan, it just seemed to make the most sense to emerge from this pandemic with our new name. I am really proud of our team in coming together to pull this off several months early.
So drum roll, please! Welcome to the new Vende Digital!
Our mission from the beginning has always been the same; to help companies connect with their next customer. However, while our mission hasn’t changed, the world has. For the last 20 years, we have been helping companies close more business with digital marketing. However, what we do hasn’t always been called digital marketing. Our new name better reflects who we are and what we do.
The marketing world looks a lot different than it did in 2000 when we started down this journey as WebDex. Back then, other than banner ads, the only thing you could do in the online marketing space was getting ranked in search engines via SEO (search engine optimization). Yahoo, Lycos, and AltaVista ruled the online world. Google wasn’t even a household name, let alone a verb. If you told someone to “Google it,” back then they would think you were crazy. Our name came from Website Indexing (i.e., WebDex). We primarily fulfilled our mission by helping companies figure out the best key phrases and to incorporate them properly into their websites.
Over the past 20 years, our framework, offerings, and methods have been refined along with the changing landscape of digital. We have also built a team with strong competencies across multiple channels with a focus on business outcomes for our clients, at the core of which are leads, sales, and true/proven ROI from digital.
Today, digital marketing is vital to brand building, and customers expect it. With digital marketing, you can get very creative and incorporate a variety of tactics utilizing various budgets.
The Next 20 Years

Nothing has really changed except the name. Vende Digital is the same great team of digital marketing pros who love to work with busy executives who understand that digital marketing is critical, but just don’t have time or expertise to build and execute in a way that delivers real results.
